It is widely known that packaged food claims to contain all essential nutrients that the human body requires; still the claims are not always true. According to a recently conducted survey, it was found that every American consumes around three servings of natural foods that have been shunned away by ‘Department of Health and Human Services’ as insufficient.  As per the guidelines laid by U.S. Department of Agriculture and Department of Health and Human Services, every individual should consume anything between 5 to 13 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables; depending on the varied calorie requirement of the individual.  

According to diet experts, the consumption of fruits and vegetables should be balanced. It is essential to plan meals in a way that includes all vegetables and fruits. Some fruits are seasonal, which requires them to be stocked on the start of the actual season and consuming them in balanced amount. Moreover, the best part of having these fruits and veggies is that they bring a natural lustre to the skin and does not have any kind of side effects. Ditch those canned or packed foods and start munching on some crunchy fresh fruits, as well as vegetables for a healthy lifestyle.
